our clients know how to live. they have distinguished taste and they entrust us to customize a perfectly appointed home that allows them to enjoy life to the fullest. the owners of this home in florida’s scenic 30a region were no exception.
full-time residents of houston, texas, the semi-retired couple planned to use this residence as their vacation home. they wanted something comfortable, beautiful, and elegant that would “leave a lasting impression on those who visit” and we eagerly embraced the opportunity to create that for them.
the house was a new build and we rounded out the team responsible for realizing their “dream home” which consisted of t.s. adams studio, architects and gulf view construction.
our first visit was at the architect’s office where we walked through our clients’ wish list. having all of the leads together in one room allowed us to get on the same page and discuss the functionality of each space within the home. we love attending these meetings as we pride ourselves on identifying and proactively addressing any issues at the design phase.
in addition to handling the interior design, it was determined at the meeting that we would also put together the architectural materials packet — everything from the stone, cabinetry and fireplace design to the plumbing fittings and fixtures. while these selections are typically handled by the architect, we were happy to take the lead as it streamlined the process for our clients and allowed them to truly customize their home down to the smallest detail.
the interior of the house included five bedrooms — one that was used as an office and another that we designed as a stylish and sophisticated bunk room — five and a half baths, a den, an open concept dining room/living room/kitchen, and an upstairs game room.
our clients wanted to ensure that their guests enjoyed a luxury experience. with that in mind, we created inviting common areas perfect for relaxing or entertaining and individual bedrooms, each with their own en suite, reminiscent of an elegant boutique hotel. as devoted dog lovers — our clients rescued dachshunds — it was important that the home be welcoming to their four-legged friends as well. the majority of the furniture was custom and we selected fabrics that were both attractive and durable for ease of use and clean-ability in addition to style.
located in an area called camp creek lake, this home boasts gulf and lake views. naturally, we wanted to make the most of that when designing both the indoor and outdoor spaces. we created moments throughout the home, like an inviting window seat and a restful balcony, to take in the views.
as for the master bedroom, our clients wanted to feel “enveloped.” with that in mind, we selected rich materials like silk grass cloth wallcovering and raw silk drapery in watery shades of green and blue with accents of vintage rose. the result was a soothing space with special touches that serves as a retreat from the world.
the finished product was a showpiece of a home, customized in a way that made it equally suited for unwinding or reveling. we hope that our clients are finding ample time to do both.
